BATON ROUGE – LSU women's basketball's path back to another potential NCAA championship has been unveiled.
And Kim Mulkey's team's road through women's March Madness begins against San Diego State (25-9). LSU will host the Aztecs in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Game date and time will be revealed later tonight.
LSU is the No. 3 seed in the Spokane 1 Region, with UCLA being the No. over 1 seed in that bracket. LSU also hosts Florida State (23-8) and George Mason (27-5) for the first two rounds and will face the winner in the second round if it wins its NCAA Tournament opener.

The Tigers (28-5) finished third in the Southeastern Conference during the regular season and advanced to the SEC Tournament semifinals last week where it lost to Texas, 56-49, in Greenville, S.C.

Since Mulkey has taken over in Baton Rouge, the Tigers have won all three of its opening round games, winning by an average of 13 points.
