The head coach of the Spain women’s team says she was unaware a sexual violence protocol existed at the Spanish football federation after Luis Rubiales kissed Jenni Hermoso at the 2023 World Cup final. Montse Tome, who was assistant head coach to Jorge Vilda as Spain won that World Cup 18 months ago, appeared as a witness on Monday at the Audencia Nacional court in Madrid during Rubiales’ continuing trial for alleged sexual assault and coercion.
