Sharpe and Clement never played together. Sharpe last played for Cards in 1994 and Clement was drafted in 1998. Sharpe was a Card before they came to AZ. Perhaps you're thinking of another of his teammates.Great story! He was a very good LT. I remember when he was taken in the first round then they took Anthony Clement in the second. I can totally believe that about Roy Green he seemed like a very genuine guy when I met him. Anthony Clement also talked highly of him to me.
I must be thinking of Tootie Robbins. Yep your right. It was LJ Shelton that use to play with Clement. Sharpe and Robbins were drafted in the same draft only Robbins was in the fourth round.Sharpe and Clement never played together. Sharpe last played for Cards in 1994 and Clement was drafted in 1998. Cardinals took back to back OT in 93 draft. Ernest Dye and Ben Coleman in second and third round.Great story! He was a very good LT. Yep that’s the draft I was thinking back to back linemen. It’s a shame Ernest Dye had that car wreck that ended his career. They were the ones that were first and second round my mistake.Cardinals took back to back OT in 93 draft. Ernest Dye and Ben Coleman in second and third round.
I remember many believing we had our bookend tackles for years to come.Yep that’s the draft I was thinking back to back linemen. It’s a shame Ernest Dye had that car wreck that ended his career. They were the ones that were first and second round my mistake.
Yes I was one of them. Dye started out strong and kept getting better from what I remember. Not so much for Coleman.I remember many believing we had our bookend tackles for years to come.
