Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Luka Doncic received a hero's welcome on Wednesday night as he returned to Dallas to face his old team, the Mavericks.
As a tribute video played on the Mavs jumbotron, Doncic was visibly weeping as he reflected on his career with Dallas before his shocking February trade to Los Angeles.
It's very understandable as to why Doncic would be emotional in his Dallas return. His trade was one of the most shocking NBA developments in a generation, and it literally just happened about two months ago.
Doncic also received a standing ovation from the crowd during the pregame moment of reflection.
It was great to see the Mavericks honor Doncic for his time with the team, even if it absolutely came in such a bittersweet time.
