Luke Babitt bails on Ohio State

Pretty interesting with TOSU reeling in one top basketball recruit after another, Babitt surprised them by telling Thad Matta he'd changed his mind and was committing to Nevada instead. He's from Nevada but his grandparents live in Ohio and rumor was his dad had already lined up a job there so the family could move when he enrolled at Ohio State(wink wink).

UCLA at one point was thought to be the leader but TOSU locked him up and Babitt apparently said he has no desire to be recruited again and his commitment to Nevada is firm.

I guess the theory is that TOSU has so many 5 star recruits locked up for the next few years that Babitt felt he was being recruited over, he's an 08 kid so he'll be a senior in HS in September.

Yep and there's another 6'8" kid in Nevada named Oleg Czyz or something similar apparently Polish who "blew up" at the recent Pangos camp at USC and suddenly has all the big West Coast schools recruiting him. Right now Nevada is thought to lead for him and some say he's going to wind up a better prospect than Babbitt because he's more athletic. So they could wind up with quite a pair of bookend forwards.
