It's almost as if Lute was never gone--they seem to be defying expectations on attracting kids.

Plus they will have more competent coaches on the sideline compared to last year. Garland should come in right away and be Nic's backup.

I looked him up I'd never heard of him, what class is he?

Scout says class of 2009 so he doesn't really replace Jennings since he's a year behind if true. I found another story that said he was considering a 5th year at a different prepschool to get more exposure. Apparently his name is Gerland not Garland and most of what I read has him a SG or a combo guard not a point. Called him athletic and quick to the rim. Scout doesn't rate him at all.

He is in the class of 2008 and said he has already qualified. Some big schools have been looking at hi. Maybe he can be another Gilbert Arenas? The good thing is he is an extra player for this upcoming year.

He was going to prep school to get more exposure, but ive heard Texas was on him as an 09 recruit.

He will be in Tucson this summer and on the roster as a freshman this season. Not saying he turns out to be anything more than a career backup, but at least we have another player who can come off the bech behind Nic.

absolutely and if he can play any PG at all that's huge because Wise was the only PG on the roster before Judkins.

Look at UCLA 2 years ago they got caught with no true PG behind Collison When Farmar left early, and had to take this unheralded late recruit who was a combo guard and make him their backup PG, some kid named Russell Westbrook. Not saying Judkins will be the 4th pick in the draft in 2 years but anything can happen.

Without Jennings the Cats needed backcourt bodies and Judkins provides that. Odds are one of him, Lavender, or Fogg can play and in itself that solves SG depth for the next few years. Now if Lute/Dunlap can find a frontcourt player in Europe or Australia to help with that problem.
