I have an external zip drive hooked up to my Mac. For some reason, the stupid power light just keeps on blinking and the drive won't run any of my zip disks. Is this drive a lost cause or is there something I can do to fix it?

Doesn't show up on the desktop. What do you mean is it mounted? I have it sitting next to the computer.
It's about five years old. I really don't want to get a new one, but I have files I gotta retrieve off a bunch of zip disks.
JG, I might have an extra one lying around somewhere. I'll check tonight.
