Ugh!
After beating the computer on every level to absolute death, I finally thought I was ready to play ONLINE.
I was amped to play. The first couple of games I did very well. They were all fair play.
Then, to my surprise, I played some jerk who was OBVIOUSLY cheating left and right. It really got me mad, and ruined the excitment of playing online.
So I did some reseach and learned how to counter many of the cheats.
I hope this thread takes off, and we find all the cheats, and there counters!
I will start:
The STUPID Block every FG, and Punt cheat.
How to do it:
Tap R2 (playstation) while on defense for a punt/FG. Select a fast guy. As you tap R2 it will eventually freeze. When the screen freezes then rush the punter as fast as possible. You usually block the ball or just tackle the kicker.
It is a cheesy most, and absolute BS.
To counter:
1. On FG, kick below 40 power pts, or kick at 100 pts, and as high as possible.
2. For FG and Punts. Hit the X button to start the power meter but do not hit the X button again untill it comes down for the accuracy scale (get as accurate as possible), or don't press the button at all. Either way they will be offsides, or in no position to receive the punt. Usually if the ball is punted in this way they cheater is SOOOO busy trying to block the punt he won't fair catch. Then the defense comes in and BOOOOOM fumble!
