Magical comebacks, dramatic wins and the most talented roster in San Jose Sharks history weren't enough to deliver the franchise its first Stanley Cup title. The goal for the Sharks was clear ever since they acquired two-time Norris Trophy winning defenseman Erik Karlsson from Ottawa just before the start of the season. Coach Peter DeBoer told his team the ingredients were in place for that elusive first championship in San Jose.
