I'm no lawyer but I think that might even be illegal?

As long as Whedon (JOSS!) is involved (heavily!) I'm ready for Firefly, Buffy, Angel and Dollhouse reboots.

If it's Joss and the original cast (as much as is alive still), then okay. That wouldn't be a remake. Anything else and it's just ridiculously stupid. Ditto with Buffy and Angle.

Firefly is the only one I'd be okay with using the same cast minus Ron Glass. But part of what I'd want from Firefly and Whedon is a better reveal of Book and it's difficult to do that without Ron. And to me, Buffy and Angel really need to be a complete reboot.

Firefly is the only one I'd be okay with using the same cast minus Ron Glass. But part of what I'd want from Firefly and Whedon is a better reveal of Book and it's difficult to do that without Ron. And to me, Buffy and Angel really need to be a complete reboot.

Go find the graphic novel The Shepherd's Tale if you want to know about book. And why in the hell would you WANT a reboot of Buffy or Angel? Did you hate them? Otherwise, why?

I loved Buffy, I loved the characters and the potential of Angel. I want a remake because you can only re-watch Buffy so many times.

Firefly could still be done, and I'm not talking a reboot with a different cast. HAS to be same cast (minus the dearly departed Ron Glass and the corpsified Wash) and the same ship. The movie set things up nicely.

What has been suggested in lieu of an actual live action series is an adult animated series. That way, all the cast members could do their dialogue anywhere and outside their current day jobs. If the Whedons were in on it it would totally work. Someone even created a trailer:
