Google this and check for the results on your credit card statements.

We just got hit on an Amex card, they had been billing for 3 months. Apparently [according to Amex] the scam works on a lot of online shopping that when you hit 'continue' to checkout it includes authorizing these scumbags.

No as we use Amex for everything we have no problem as they take a very different attitude to Visa/Mastrercar. They blocked all further charges and refunded the 3 months alreay billed, they don't argue and put up roadblocks as they own both sides of the card unlike thye Bank - Visa/mastercard relationship where borth sides point fingers and you end up carrying the can.

We did as they [Amex] asked and called the #Amex gave us to cancel, which of course they won't do but Amex has it blocked now.

It is a very cryptic entry on your bill like "AP9Passporttofrun"
