Man City target Diogo Costa as Ederson injury concerns grow

Manchester City are ready to increase their interest in Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa (h/t the Mirror).

City goalie Ederson limped off in the 5-2 win against Crystal Palace last weekend shortly after assisting James McAtee’s goal.

Ederson has now suffered four separate groin injuries this season. Each one has forced him to miss matches, creating problems for City.

They have relied heavily on Ederson over the years, but his frequent injuries are now a serious concern. Guardiola has identified Costa as a possible long-term solution.

Ederson, who now holds the record for most Premier League assists by a goalkeeper, may attract renewed attention from SPL clubs.

Bayer Leverkusen have shown interest in Stefan Ortega, which may force City to strengthen their goalkeeping options.
