Denver Post is reporting that Manning will meet with Elway tonight. From there he is going to visit with AZ and then MIA.

http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_20138824/peyton-manning-visit-john-elway-broncos-today

Manning, 36, has been cleared to throw by his neck specialist, Dr. Robert Watkins. One NFL source said Manning will also visit the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins after visiting with the Broncos. A source said Manning would like to make a decision by Tuesday, the first day of free agency.

Let's face it. Geography dictates that he should swing by AZ tomorrow, right? And it also means that if he wants to keep to that timeline, there isn't much time to meet with anyone else.

Final three!!!

Denver has a very good running game. It would be scary if they got PM.

I'm shocked he is even considering Denver.

Mike Francesa on WFAN in NYC is reporting that Manning is on his way to meet with Denver, and that the Broncos are prepared to pull out all the stops & make a 'yoooge' offer to PM. He's also talked about Miami & AZ, but keeps saying it's Manning's wish to stay in the AFC.

He's gonna have Jay Glazer on in 10-15 mins to discuss. If they say anything meaningful, I will update.

After having been helicopter buzzed in Mia, and now the thought of having to face the wrath of God's disciples in Denver, I'm starting to really like AZ's chances.

(One Tweet says, PM has expressed some of the same reservations about Mia as those from both Harbaugh and Fisher. No mention of what they are exactly)

No way Denver, Manning is smart enough to know he would always be in competition with Elway. Bronco stadium is not big enough for Elway and Manning.

I am not sold on Denver either. I maintain it is AZ or MIA. Which is more important:

AFC Team vs. Dome?
Good OL vs. Fitz?
New Coach he can overtake or established coach that is flexible?
Money vs. Media Frenzy?

Lots of things to balance in his decision.

Glazer on now:

Broncos sent their plane to Miami to pick up PM

these are football visits & not see the city visits

Glazer thinks the Broncos don't wan't to let PM leave the building without signing. They want to overwhelm him & get him to sign immediately. But Glazer doesn't see that happening.

I think they know if he leaves the building, he isn't coming back. And I don't think PM will be so rash to agree without further exploring his options.

Personally, Glazer thinks it's between Denver & Miami...primarily based on Manning wanting to stay in the AFC.

Thinks Manning will visit Denver, AZ, & Miami and that there are not any sleeper teams in it.

said Seattle wants to be a player, but doesn't think they really are.

Said Fitz has called Manning & "is wearing him out" about coming to AZ.

Sais again, that there's no chance Manning makes a decision without at least talking to each team.

May be wrong, but - I see a considerable difference between talk and visits, particularly when teams were/are prepared to show up at his doorstep.

I'm going to say that Glazer meant 'talk' as face to face dialogue with coaches and/or owners. That was my interpretation when I heard it.

by that same logic, Miami has Dan Marino's ghost to compete with. Isn't Denver outdoors though? I though Peyton didn't want to play in the cold? Also, who are their receivers? Didn't they get rid of their #1 last year? It would make more sense for them to be pursuing Reggie Wayne. Cult Tebow is another thing they need to worry about, they just released their best QB last year and moved their #2 down the ranks just for them

Francesa just said Mortensen (who is very tight with the Manning family) is reporting that Houston would be the favorite if they expressed interest (which they have not).

It's Mort's speculation that perhaps Manning going to Denver first is Manning's way of trying to draw Houston into it?

I understand this is total speculation, but it certainly makes sense if you think about it.

Understood. I was making a distinction between PM going out his way, and others showing up in Miami to make their case. Given the time constraints there isn't many places he could travel to and still have the time to digest and make a decision by Tuesday, as reported.

How does that make any sense? If Houston wa sinterested Manning would already have heard from them. Him visiting Denver isnt going to autonatically make Houston want to dump Schaub and go after Manning.

Mort tends to bend over backwards to avoid talking about the Cardinals.

The national scribes will defend their east coast (and in this case AFC bias) until proven wrong. They'll then find a new rationalization to cover their collective butts.
