The only thing the boxing world knows for sure about the upcoming Manny Pacquiao-Lucas Matthysse fight is that both fighters are in training camp and appear to be working hard. According to ESPN, Pacquiao’s promotion company, MP Promotions, has only made a payment of $500,000 to Matthysse (39-4, 36 KOs) and his promoter Golden Boy and still owes them $2 million more for the July 14 fight. The rest of the payment reportedly is more than a month overdue, and MP Promotions also has reportedly missed other deadlines that would cover production costs and the ability to put the fight on PPV. It’s unclear how exactly the fight will be shown in America, though the ESPN network or the ESPN+ app are the most likely options.
