Pac will kill him. He may actually kill him in the ring. Hatton is a small version of John Ruiz hit and hold. He cant hold what he cant catch.

Hatton is a damn good fighter, but Pac-Man is fast with devastating power. To me, Paquiao is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Hopefully after Pac takes down Hatton, Floyd will rethink his retirement and come back to fight Pac-Man. I would love to see those two go at it sometime here in the next 6-8 months before Floyd gets too old.

I would like to see that too. My bet is on Pac Man. They way he destroyed De La Hoya WOW!. I like Hatton dont get me wrong, but pacman is unstoppable right now.

Don't sell Hatton short in this fight... Manny has never knocked out anyone with one punch. He is strong, but he wins by an accumulation of blows. Hatton is very strong and very tough. He'll take Manny's shots for sure. Unlike De La Hoya, Hatton did not have to drop a ton of weight to make this fight. He is a natural 140 pounder and will be much more comfortable and stronger than was Oscar. Manny has never fought anyone at this weight who is a natural at this weight. He will feel punches, power and strength he has never felt before...
Additionally, Hatton tapped Floyd Mayweather, Sr as his trainer for this fight and all reports are that he has gotten a ton faster and much more "shifty" in the ring.

I still think Manny will pull this out in the end as he just never tires, and never stops throwing punches... I think he'll eventually wear down Hatton and will either grab a late round TKO or a close but unanimous decision. I also think Hatton will struggle with Manny being a southpaw.
I definitely do not see this being a dominating fight for Manny at all... Hatton will show up and will challenge Manny in a major way - perhaps more than any other fighter has to date.... Should be a terrific fight!

I haven't followed boxing since the days when we had only 3 channels on the television and cable was a luxury for most households. I won't let that stop me from placing a wager on it going over 7 rounds though.

Ahhh, saturday afternoons and ABC Wide World of Sports, NBC Saturday Night Fights, brings back great memories. The talent back then was amazing too, especially the Heavy Weights.

Truly boxings heyday, IMHO.

Totally agree O. Even the so-so heavy's were light-years better than the top echelon in the division today.

However, at present, the lightweight, welterweight and middleweight divisions are LOADED with all-time best talent... Screw the heavy's... The lighter guys are a blast to watch!

BTW - anyone watch the HBO special Thrilla in Manilla?? Made Ali out to be a real jerk, which I guess he was in some ways... Smokin Joe was a machine... And that fight was truly the most amazing, grueling, brutal heavyweight fight in the history of the sport...

Ricky has never lost to a south paw but has looked very uncomfortable in his wins against them.

Just sure yet if i want to pay the £15 for a fight that starts at 3.30am over here.

The boy got done good and proper. Now, lets see Pac Man try and handle Pretty Boy the same way.
