Manny wanted out of Boston because of Schilling

Curt went off on Manny in the clubhouse the other night when he heard Manny did not want to play that night. Manny then told told the Red Sox he wanted out. Joe Morgan just mentioned this on Baseball Tonight. John Kruk also made a jab at Curt by sarcastically saying Curt not getting along with a teammate?

I think they are confusing cause and effect - Kruk and Morgan neither one being exactly Norman Einstein. Manny was already saying he'd sit out, and wanted to be traded because he hated living in Boston, when Curt called him out. (Curt hated living there, too, but he didn't demand a trade - he just moved back to AZ.) David Wells also called Manny out, and said there were several guys in the clubhouse really pissed at Manny for his self-centeredness. Pot calling kettle black, etc...

What Manny did is definitely not what I condone, but what Curt did in front of his teammates was wrong also. Curt should of taken Manny aside and talked to him. Emotions are sometimes hard to control.
