Marbury the new media darling

It makes me sick the way Marbury got little respect when he was here but now that he's in NY he's the lead story every night on SC.

Actually it doesn't bother me that much. I guess it's because they aren't bagging on the Phoenix Suns this time around. I was pissed off every time they mentioned Jason Kidd a few years ago and made him out to be such a great guy.

When does their schedule get more difficult? I mean the only impressive victory they have so far as against Seattle on their home court. Last night they beat Atlanta, possibly the worst team in the NBA, on a last-minute, uncalled three-point shot off the glass by Marbury.

Of course he gets attention, it's New York.

I don't really care. I can see east coast bias in much of the media. The sports coverage is no exception.

Attention and the big lights were what he wanted when he was in Minnesota. He has that now in New York, and I am interested to find out how he handles it.

He didn't really handle it well when he was in New Jersey, but he has matured. None the less, the New York media is not very forgiving.

Miami just beat them in the Garden.

I like Marbs and all, but I love when the Knicks and Nets lose.

I think everyone loved Kidd because he took the Nets to the Finals and improved them almost immediatley. It was Kidd v Marbury and Kidd was winning. That is over with now. The situation in which he went to New York was like a home coming. That makes good news and him being biggest market, it's only natural he's gonna get attention.
