The Florida Gators are headed to the national championship, and social media is loving every second of it.
In a high-stakes Final Four showdown between SEC giants, Florida basketball outlasted the Auburn Tigers 79-73 in a back-and-forth thriller.
With a spot in the national title game on the line, the Gators leaned on the hot hand of Walter Clayton Jr., who poured in 34 points and made clutch plays down the stretch.
The win puts Florida just one victory away from its first NCAA Tournament title since the back-to-back championships in 2006 and 2007.
Florida now waits for the matchup between the Houston Cougars and Duke Blue Devils to conclude in order to find out their opponent in the championship game.
