Selection Sunday is scheduled for this weekend — Sunday, March 16.

What is Selection Sunday?​

Selection Sunday is the date and process by which the NCAA Selection Committee will announce the 68-team bracket for the NCAA Division I men's and women's college basketball tournaments.

Also during Selection Sunday, additional detailed information will be provided about the dates and venues for the tournament, including which teams are playing at which site during the first two rounds.

How to watch Selection Sunday​

The Selection Sunday broadcast will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday, and will air on CBS.

When does March Madness start?​

March Madness, college hoops' fans term for the NCAA’s premier, 68-team single-elimination tournament, will commence after the Selection Sunday tournament bracket is announced.

The NCAA Basketball Tournament will begin with the "First Four" eliminator on Tuesday, March 18 and Wednesday, March 19.
