March Madness turns the page to the second weekend with Sweet 16 NCAA Tournament games on Thursday and Friday in four cities.

Tennessee basketball has a potentially very rewarding week ahead of them, with Friday's Sweet 16 matchup against Kentucky set after the Wildcats eliminated Illinois. Friday will mark the first Tennessee-Kentucky NCAA Tournament game in the rivalry.

Kentucky is in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2019 in Mark Pope's first season as coach. He'll coach in the Midwest Regional semifinals with three veterans coaches in Houston's Kelvin Sampson, Purdue's Matt Painter and Tennessee's Rick Barnes.

All four 1-seeds have advanced to the Sweet 16, with the games getting more challenging in the second weekend.
