These guys looked great today against Australia.

I'm convinced that after today's performance, PHX will not trade Marion. (Unless it was for a superstar.)

He was everywhere on that court, and really kept the team in it with his hustle.

Amare was also very impressive in his "limited" time. His defense is already improving under Larry Brown, and he looks like he's really maturing.

Amare is going to be a tough SOB to stop this coming year.

BTW, Stephon Marbury is playing really, really weird. Looks like his confidence is at an all-time low. Looks very uncomfortable at the point.

Marbury looks like he is handcuffed. Both by the coaches instruction and the defensive style he is facing. He did a much better defensive job in the second half. Marbury always wants to control and dominate the game and that is not his role on this team. He has done better the last couple of games picking his spots and making some nice plays.

Staying in front of people on the perimeter will keep him on the floor. His scoring and passing is a bonus when he is able to work in the structure of the team.

Marion looked great today (except for the three he shot). Amare had his best game yet and made a nice contribution.

Seems like all these players are learing how and where they can make contributions to team. Most of these players are very young and used to having the game centered around them.

When he's as active as he was, it's to his benefit to shoot 2-3 three-pointers. Even if he doesn't make them (as long as their in the flow of the game), it will go a long way in keeping the defense honest.

If he hits just one of those attempts, it will bring the defense out. Which, of course, gives him more options to blow by defenders.

This goes for ALL of the players. They have to keep shooting. Keep plugging away, and that lane will be wide open for Duncan and Co..

Yes... Marbury did stay in front of Heal in the 2nd half. First half was a different story. As long as Marbury can contribute by being a stopper, that's fine. We need more of those.

BTW, Vujanic looks to be the top player on S&M's team. He lit it up for 21 today, but it wasn't enough.

... get him over here.
