The Marquette men's basketball team had been ranked in the Associated Press top 25 every week since Jan. 9, 2023.

That streak of 50 consecutive weeks ended on Monday when the Golden Eagles fell out of the AP poll after going 1-1 at the Big East tournament in New York.

MU was on the edge last week at No. 25. The Golden Eagles are still No. 25 in the USA TODAY coaches poll.

Houston (105), Tennessee (79) and Purdue (58) were the only schools with streaks longer and they remained in the poll this week.

There is a final AP poll after the national championship game on April 7.

March 14 vs. St. John's: MU was worn down by the Red Storm's physicality in a 79-63 loss in the Big East semifinals.
