Marquette and St. John's will face each other Saturday afternoon in New York, with both Big East teams hoping to hit their stride as the season moves toward its second half. The Golden Eagles (7-6 overall, 3-4 Big East) and Red Storm (7-6, 2-5) both are coming off victories at home on Tuesday that saw them fight off runs made by the opposition. Marquette built a 16-point lead in the first half over Providence on Tuesday, only to see the Friars rally to within one point with under eight minutes remaining in the game.
