Marquette women vs. Drake officially set. Time, date for WBIT first-round game

After falling in the quarterfinal round of the Big East tournament, to Villanova, there is no NCAA tournament bid for the Marquette women's basketball team this year, but postseason play for the Golden Eagles is still happening.

MU (20-10) exceeded expectations this season under first-year coach Cara Consuegra and received a bid to the WBIT. MU will play at Drake in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday. The game will be played at 2 p.m. Central time.

What is the WBIT​
