jurecki spoke to martay last night...

he called martay because jurecki heard the cards had made a new offer offer..and he wanted to confirm with martay. according to martay..they have not yet updated offer from last season..

martay is frustrated..buffalo went with shaw and martay liked the bills. jacksonville, houston, cincy and raiders (trestman) are interested. If things do not change - he will go elsewhere for a 1 year deal. he wanted $15 mil for 5 years..cards offered way less a few months ago and have not updated offer. he would rather go take a 1 year deal..he thinks he has paid his dues and and cardinals should show him the money.. jurecki started talking about how he told martay - hey - you are going to be 1 or 2 here..and 3 or 4 elsewhere..lewis interrupted him and said - who is his agent? he is getting bad advice..implied he has a bad agent..

jurecki/lewis said the cards should offer $5 mil over 3 years..they said he needs to play here..he may go elsewhere and only return kickoffs and kill his market value..

they noted he could be postering..jurecki seemed to imply the cards would be making another offer..if anyone heard differently or more..please add.

Too funny.... paid his dues....He needs to be realistic.... he is worth about $1.5 per year tops......... He made some progress last year but really needs to step it up before he can claim he's paid his dues..............

He was rumored to be looking for that amount during the season. He's an idiot. He'll never make that unless he posts a 1000 yard season on a one-year deal this year.

If he wants to sign a one year deal, why not here? Blake's deep touch would work to Martay's speed. He's garaunteed to play here too.

He has never proved to be a #1 receiver. And the film Arizona watches is the same every other team has. We don't know any "Martay" secrets. It is sad to see a player get an idea in his head (or even worse have somebody put that idea in their head) and it cost them money. I wish him luck, but he won't play much in too many of those towns.

it really ticks me off when we give guys a chance (and jerry sullivan helped martay a ton)..and then martay appears to have developed an attitude... he is nuts for going to another team and being a #3 or #4 - and he will make less money that we would probably pay him..

Jenkins is living in a dream world. $15 million over five years is a joke. What he has shown here is that he has great speed, nice potential, and a propensity for fumbling the ball and dropping passes.
