I'm totally in. Have they cancelled it yet?

LOL It is a Disney property (Marvel) on a Disney channel (ABC).

It will run as many seasons as they want it to run. :D

I liked it. Good Joss vibe mixed with a bit of Men in Black feel.

Pretty good start but I was expecting a bit more. Definitely had Joss humor and the show has some huge potential. They alluded to a couple mysteries. Coulson isn't just "alive" and Grant has some sort of reveal in his background that they alluded too.

Looking forward to this show. Hope it "lives".

I liked it, I expected to love it. Felt like it had more of a Jed vibe than a Joss vibe.

Maybe my expectations are unfair but sort of felt the same way. Although the second episode seems to be action packed and the network is saying Episode 2 is bigger.

IMO, there isn't a ton of difference between the two - Jed is basically Joss - he wrote or co-wrote most of the Dollhouse eps and they definitely vibe similarly. :)

I think I expect any Joss show to be mainstreamed for 8 episodes before going fully dark/mysterious/deep like Joss does. Maybe fewer now since it is both Marvel and the Avengers success. I do like that they already dropped hints for the season one big mysteries, but I'm guessing there will be a lot more in store.

Not sure if I dig the two headed Topher Brink characters though - they seem a bit forced. Hopefully they dial back a little and get into stride with their roles.

Graphics were awesome.

Oh, and hello Shepherd Book! :D

Yeah, the pilots are usually not the best example of what a show will become. They aren't made for any more reason than to get the series picked up, which has to hamper the writers in a big way.

i thought it was okay.

is Agent Caulson a clone? there was one moment in there that made me think this is a possibility and explanation of how he's still alive.

I think you lose the most of the humor and snappy dialogue with Jed. I liked Dollhouse but at no time did it feel like a Joss Whedon show to me. As for the two headed Topher Brink, I'd like them to lose the accents and limit it to one person talking at a time. I feel like I'm watching something on ESPN where former players talk over each other and the only thing I can hear clearly is me swearing at them for acting like they're talking sports in a loud bar.

Jed pretty much wrote all of Dr. Horrible's Sing Along blog, which I found brilliant and funny as hell.

I will say the Jed seems to move into cliche humor more than his older brother though, but both are "off' in a good way. Joss seems to write more natural dialogue and "banters" better than pretty much anyone.

I think the overtalk between The Tophers Brinks + the accents are a bit too much. One or the other I'd be good with, and I prefer the accents. Toper's eccentricity was AWESOME...for one character. Pairing two of them and making them talk like they popped out of a Rowling novel...eh. I DO like their combined character though (particularly in the female half) and hope they find a way to jettison one or the other (hopefully the dude) and flesh out a better, singular Topher clone.

My son loves it but I was underwhelmed. It's what first started me on this path of thinking that he lacks his brother's sense of humor and mastery of witty dialogue.

I loved Topher's character but I didn't see that potential in either of these two techies. Maybe they'll grow on me. But don't get me wrong, I'm totally in on this show Jed or not. I liked Dollhouse quite a bit but felt it lacked the Joss mystique and I expect that to be the case here. I'd have to imagine he's a little too busy to throw himself into this show on a regular basis given his other commitments.

I thought it was good, but it didn't blow me away. Hard to do with this show until you get some more mythology in it. We already know the Avengers side of things, and that's a great start for the world the show is in, but the characters in the show have to define their world as well, and we haven't gotten that yet.

And I like Coulson/Clark Gregg, but I'm not sure he's leading man material. The pretty boy agent has some potential, but I dislike pretty boy actors because they are pretty boys and seem like they are cast simply because they are good looking. Same goes for a lot of the women.

Glad to see Ming Na-Wen (underrated) and the Joss Whedon duo of Ron Glass and J. August Richards.

Wife and I are watching Buffy while waiting fore Heisenberg, HIMYM, Walking Dead and this show new episodes. We're good. :)

Oh, I'm with your son on Dr. Horrible. Bad Horse's horrible death whinny sealed the deal. Also, Felicia Day. ;)

We just re-watched Buffy, I swear the episode Hush gets better with each viewing. It just has to be one of the ten best episodes ever. I could never get into HIMYM. Breaking Bad was a great show but there was just too much tension for me and I gave up on The Boring Dead in the second season.

I like happy, fluffy, carefree, pleasant, honest, upbeat, heroic, charismatic, chivalrous, upstanding, playful, generous, supportive, bosomy, charitable, diplomatic, polite, forthright - I don't do so well with bitter, angry, edgy, miserly, mean, cutthroat, backstabbing, harsh, scathing, acerbic, hurtful, unkind, frustrating, baleful, self-serving, whiny, bitchy. Joss leans towards the first group, Jed leans toward the latter. I think it's a generational thing. Joss is only a decade younger than me but Jed is another eleven years younger than him. My son, same age as Jed, is okay with most of the things in the first list but tends to like shows, movies, books and music that borrow heavily from the second group.

I thought the same thing as Cheese. There was a scene were they say, "do you think he knows". And the reply was, " no and we have to keep it that way".

Yeah but why a clone?

I thought that meant that he did die, died for a long while, and they resurrected him somehow.

I think if we died and were resurected we would be ok with that, but if we were cloned and just a copy of the original, you would have issues with that. IMHO
