SEATTLE — Stunning, heartbreaking and electrifying.
True, full and total March Madness.
From the best moment in Colorado State men's basketball history to absolute heartbreak.
Maryland's Derik Queen hit a buzzer beater to give No. 4-seed Maryland a 72-71 win over 12th-seeded Colorado State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Here are takeaways from the game.
Absolute madness. CSU drew up a masterpiece of a play to get Jalen Lake a 3-pointer and he nailed it with 3.7 seconds to go to give CSU a lead.
Derik Queen then got the ball after a Maryland timeout and worked his way down and threw a game-winner off the glass.
Absolute mayhem.
A key sequence happened late with CSU leading 64-59 with less than 5 minutes to go. The Rams had a stop and the ball but fumbled it out of bounds.
Maryland’s Ja’Kobi Gillespie hit a 3-pointer on the following possession to take advantage of the mistake. Maryland then got a stop and another bucket to tie it.
Another Maryland stop followed and free throws made it a 7-0 run and 66-64 lead for Maryland with 3:04 to go.
CSU’s Nique Clifford had a shot blocked the next time down and Julian Reese hit a floater for a 9-0 run and four-point lead.
The run almost never ends in happiness. Colorado State had a historic March Madness run and for about 48 hours was a darling of the NCAA Tournament.
For much of this one it looked like the run would continue with CSU pulling the top upset of the tournament.
The Lake 3-pointer seemed like a classic March Madness moment.
Instead the Rams are out in the toughest way possible.
The game ends CSU’s 11-game winning streak, which carried the Rams through the Mountain West tournament title and the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
