I know there's a couple of fans around here of Mass Effect, for good reason as it was one of the best games released last year (BioWare who did ME also did the first Knights of the Old Republic. Imagine how good the next KOTOR could be with some of ME's features). The first downloadable episode for Mass Effect was just announced and should be available on March 10th, for 400MS Points ($5).

about time we see the batarians. They were in the book & talked about in the game.

I hope my 360 is back from Microsoft by March 10.

I just started playing this game at X-Mas. Only played a hand full of times but I am very impressed. I need to play through the game so I can get to the downloadable episode when it gets here.

The only things I don't like about Mass Effect are just the time-wasting moments. Chugging along barren planets, running through exactly the same science labs over and over again, and just like KOTOR, there's a ton of "jedi jogging" where a lot of the game is just jogging your characters across vast maps.

Other than those flaws, which are VERY minor, I absolutely love Mass Effect, can't wait for the sequel, and would love to see BioWare, Obsidian, or some other company do another KOTOR game using this engine.

As cool as Shepherd and crew are, I really want some more stories about Darth Revan and the KOTOR universe, and not in an MMORPG as has been rumored.

New KOTOR!!
The powers that be are now backtracking on what was originally being said about KOTOR. But no more KOTOR would be an absolute shock considering it is pretty much a guaranteed cash cow. I'm guessing that LucasArts just doesn't want to say a word about KOTOR until after The Force Unleashed is released in fear of cutting into its hype.

That's great to hear, can't wait to see what else they do with the Mass Effect trilogy and Bioware back to work on KOTOR would rule (the second one was ok, but Bioware just does a much better job with the title)

Not yet. I have too many games to play. I am still playing through Dragon Origins and Assassins Creed II. When I am done with those I will pick this game up.

We should start another thread for ME2.

I'm about halfway through ME2. Loving it. 10x better than ME1 and I though that game was great too.

ME2? No way unless you were really racing through it. ME1, yeah you could actually complete in about 10 hours if you know what you're doing.

Yup. Great game so far. Of course, its from BioWare so I wouldn't expect anything less

Everything seems to be improved from the first one. I also like that you can import your character and that it really feels like a continuation of the story. All the decisions made in the first one have an impact in the second one
