I was really, really hard on DD the past couple of years. I said that he didn't deserve to start, and that he never made big plays (or any plays).

This year, he looks 15 pounds heavier, and plays freakishly strong to go along with his blazing speed.

That extension we gave him looks like pocket change at this point. Just want to say that I understand that he's one of the best defensive linemen in the National... Football.... League.

DD! if you're reading this man, we appreciate you! Keep bringing it every game!

Guys are getting coached up now. Its a beautiful thing.

Ever notice how the Pats never have a bust of a pick. It is partially evaluation but I think that part is overrated. Everyone knows all these players before they draft them. IMO its 90% what you do once the player gets into camp and signed.

Makes me wonder what might have been with T. Jones, Wendall Bryant, Andre Wadsworth, Tom Knight etc. had the right coaching been in place.

Wadsworth never had the chance to benefit, or not benefit, from our coaching. He got hurt.

It takes time for a 2 - 3 rd draft pick to develop. Thats why they were drafted there.
As for RB T Jones; the Cardinals are notorious for their inability to develop a RB. T Jones is G Hearst Lite. A good RB the Cardinals couldn't make anything out of.
E james isn't the long term answer. Who is?

I hear what you're saying, but I don't believe WendEll Bryant had any intention of having a career in the NFL. The guy holds out into the start of his rookie season which allowed him to miss all of training camp and when he did play, he did nothing.
He went on to be injured (or suspended) throughout the rest of his tenure until he was finally cut. In 3 years he had 29 tackles which I'm guessing worked out to be about $600,000 per tackle. I don't think he ever got picked up by another team - probably by design.
I'm not sure why, but the Wendell Bryant bust ticks me off more than any of the others. I'll get down off of the soapbox now. :soapbox:

Watched the replay of the lions game. Watch the lions fumbled snap that DD recovered. had 1 arm each on a lineman holding them off as he manuvered over the ball. Was outstanding.
