Who? Never heard of him.

He's the ESPN.com/Scouts Inc. guy for the Worldwide Leader. He used to host the now-defunct(?) Football Today Podcast. He was a recruiting assistant for Pitt for a couple of years, then was a regional scout for the Browns for a season under Davis.

He is the one that does the rankings for scouts inc? I knew he worked for ESPN but didn't know he was the brains or one of the brains behind scouts inc.

Well crap, I have been duped.:bang:

Didn't you bust his chops on one of his podcasts a few years ago?

I don't know if he does the rankings; I know he has a staff. He does to the "Scout's Take" columns for ESPN Insider, and Sando talks to him ALL THE TIME.

I did. The guy is a tool. I know that Krang loves him, though.

So wait...He went from playing/coaching 3rd base for the D'Backs, to being a talking head on ESPN for the NFL? ;)

Not really that big a deal. Kirk Gibson went from being drafted by the football Cardinals to Manager of the D'Backs. :)

He's still coaching somewhere, hitting or something. Maybe that clouded his judgement.

How long can this go on? We shall see

Funny how many people don't know that about Gibson. He's part of one of my favorite Cardinal trivia questions. Name three very famous and succesful sports figures drafted by the football Cardinals who never played a down for them.

Kirk Gibson

I'd rate our coaching staff fourth also but not for any reason other than, as a group, they are unproven.

Yea that dude has no clue what hes saying. 4th for CBs? Bradford better than Palmer? 4th in RBs when STL lost S-Jax? Coach of the year is ranked number 4 in the division?

I did a few years ago, but not anymore. Why even bring my name into this btw? He is one opinion, and just like any other, has their obvious biases. Whether it's him, ProfootballFocus, or any other football mag. If you read it long enough, you realize that people have their favorite teams that they tend to watch a lot, and know very well, and then the rest they watch only a little bit.

Williamson doesn't like the Cardinals no matter how good or bad the team is. He LOVES the Seahawks for some reason, even when they've been terrible, he still finds nice things to say about them.

That's not what you told me a year ago, when you said that he knows more about football than anyone here because he was a scout for one year with the Browns. If you've reconsidered that statement, say so.

You said this same garbage about ESPN personalities loving the Seahawks last year, and it turned out that ESPN loved the Seahawks because they were a good football team. Go figure.

I hated him because he didn't sign with the Cardinals. :p

But we still had Charley Johnson and then Jim Hart so we weren't totally deprived at QB.

Speaking of old Cardinal QBs, King Hill, the Cards only #1 first round draft pick in 54 years passed away this summer. He was GM of a golf course near Houston for many years. It has been so long since the Cards had the first overall pick that they were still in Chicago when the took Hill.

Side note: The Cards had the first two picks in that draft. Took John David Crow with the #2. Two other notable Cardinals were drafted that year but by other teams. 6 time pro bowl OLineman Ken Gray and Bobby Joe Conrad.
