Do NOT have to sell my 50 yard line tickets - YEA!!!

EDIT: My Dad was cleared to go to the game (the health issue mentioned below) so we are GOING! Sorry, no tickets for sale.

I just picked up tickets today - I won in the second lottery! But for family and health reasons I may not be able to go - will know for sure mid-day Tuesday. I'd rather sell to one of you fellow die-hards, but will post them at one of the online sites if there's no interest here.

Tickets are section 110, row M, seats 21 and 22. That's near the 50 yard line, on the Cardinals' side. They are going for $4,500 each on several online sites, which means after commission sellers are getting about $3,800 a ticket. If anyone here has interest in buying these in that range please respond to the thread.

If I am able to go I'll post an update; otherwise I'll send you a message and we'll work a deal.

I can't believe I might miss this game after 40 years as a fan (sob)...

wait.. you won the lottery and got seats in the lower section? jeez. the people who won the first lottery got screwed on where their seats are. I even heard from my Dad that if you showed up today or or Sunday, you were offered to upgrade to the lower level sidelines for another 200.00.

oh well, I guess I shouldn't be too miffed. at least we got tickets!

I'd be mighty surprised if you got $3800/per... Prices are coming down and the tickets that are priced to gouge are not selling. I'd pay $2k/per, so if you're interested PM me.

WisconsinCard is essentially correct. The ticket lottery for season ticket holders. I bought them at face value ($800).

OK. So, you are in a lottery with other Cards season tix holders and you get lucky and come up. You buy the tix and suddenly a "family health issue" comes up so instead of unloading the tix or putting them back into the lottery so another deserving season tix holder has the fair opportunity to buy them, you take this opportunity to turn a buck?

Well Im glad that you are here on the board only asking for a 6000.00 profit to really help out us die hard Cards fans...:sarcasm:

Meanwhile, this guy here grabs a handful of NFC Championship game programs and sends 'em out on his dime to other Cards fans with no expectations in return....

Divide Et Impera, that was really uncool. The family issue is nothing new - hardly sudden - and if you knew more you'd be really sorry you'd said that. Getting the tickets was sudden and unexpected. And I'm still hoping to go. Are you saying I should just sell them at face value just because it's to another Cards fan, who may or may not then take that opportunity to turn a buck?

Do what you gotta do. If the family health issues are real, then I apologize for that and wish you and your family the best, but I still think that what you are doing is chincy....

it's hard times folks. getting on people for trying to help their own family shouldn't be frowned upon. look, his price is outrageous, but he won't get it, then he'll come down a bit and still sell to cards fans, but there's no harm in him trying.

That sucks.

If I wasn't so flippin' poor right now I would do it in a heartbeat.

It is hard to hear these stories of people that can't go for health and money reasons.

Eh, what are you going to do ? Still can root your butt off with all your friends and family!

Thanks, cheese. I hate the idea of selling these elsewhere so that some Steelers fan winds up with them. Then again, I hate the idea of selling them at all.

Speaking of outrageous, I checked again and StubHub has the same row and section going for $5,200 a piece. That's a seller who will be holding his tickets on Super Bowl Sunday.

Sorry to hear. I would be torn as well if I had tickets. I would love to go to the game but I could not justify it with other stuff I could be spending money on.

I say if you have the opportunity to make a profit, you do it. Things are worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them

I sold mine for a modest profit. The reality is that there is a strong chance that if you bought for face and sold for face to an ASFNer or Cards fan or whatever that they would just turn around and sell them anyway. Money makes people lie, cheat, do crazy things. Selling didn't bother me until I had them in my hands and I have been rattled ever since. That was easily the hardest decision I have ever made. But I paid my dues. I earned the right to make that decision. I sat in that ******** SDS every game since 1998 and many before. I always renew. I've never sold a ticket ever until now. I earned the right to win the lottery. I actually had people call on the phone yelling at me telling me to cut them a break because they were "fellow season ticket holders for the last 3 years." I'm sorry but that just makes me laugh. Sell away Mike. Those tickets will pay for your season tickets next year and then some. You earned them. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

They call it Capitalism for a reason...those tickets are worth every cent of what someone is willing to pay for them..not more..not less..I am envious that you paid the same for your tickets as I did for mine..but there are a TON of longtime fans that never even got the chance to get tickets so I consider myself quite lucky!

the amazing thing is that the nfl has the audacity to charge the same for those tix as they do the nosebleeds that we got. but i guess we're all just suckers for agreeing to pay it.

if someone is making a few hundred dollars and won't come down a bit to assist a diehard, i don't understand that. but if someone has a chance to make a real killing, like a few thousand dollars worth . . . well, that could make a real difference in some people's lives, and i completely understand that.

can't say what i would do . . . yes i can . . . i would go to the game and if for some reason i couldn't b/c of healthy/family, i would sell 'em for a lot of money.

If it turns out that you cant go... then sell them and get what you can get ! If I got 2 tix I would go to the game...

and If I got 2 more for 500 each that I could sell on ebay very easily in a buy it now auction for 2000 each then I would offer them on this board to the highest bidder (someone that has been posting since at least December) as long as it is over 1300 each. Give the local board cards fans a discount but still make some cash too !

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
Well ****, maybe im just used to helping out other people here on the board that you have bonded with and been thru alot over the last 5-10 years, true Cardinals fans some here even call them family but if the consensus here is to get as much money as you can for everything then I will defniatly keep that in mind. Just be honest you could give 2 ***** that the seats go to Cardinals fans for 7600.00 bucks, sure it would be nice for you but doesnt make a difference as long as you get your money... Ah nevermind. This conversation is useless. Maybe im the only one that has a problem with it ..but Its cool.,
