ESPN is reporting that Mayo has officially been released by BDA at his request. NBA rules are there's a 15 day wait before you can hire a new agent a cooling off period to prevent agents from recruiting players but BDA has asked the NBA to waive it since the draft is close. Duffy says that it's best for Mayo to get a fresh start and find someone the family is comfortable and he didn't want to stand in the way.
Translation we can't get this kid away from us fast enough let him be someone else's problem.
Mayo also allegedly had a meeting one on one with Guillory where he severed all ties and Guillory's whereabouts are "unknown" now.
So to recap BDA threw Guillory and Mayo under the bus saying BDA did nothing it was Guillory mortgaging his house to take care of Mayo. Now Mayo throws Guillory under the bus. You have to wonder how long before Guillory just decides to throw them both under the bus?
And through all this Dwaine Barnes is refusing to comment to any reporter who calls him because he's still assuming when Mayo gets that first NBA contract he'll be repaid for all his years as Mayo's "adviser."
