Hate to sound cliche, but the books are 1000x better. If you have any interest at all you should read them. Good stuff.

The movies did a decent job, but there is so much crazy stuff going on in these that they just cant put into a film it's impossible.

Will definitely see the next one.

My son is a huge fan of the books and liked the first one. The rest of the family all thought it was a decent movie. This one looks way more intense based on the trailer. We will be seeing this.

I didn't read the first book but I read this one and started the 3rd. What I don't get is in the first one Bert, did Tom and Teresa speak telepathically? Cause the second book said they did but the movie never showed that. Guess they took that out.

Yes, they did. Which is a huge element of their relationship that I was like, blown away that they took it out.

But once again, super cool in the book, probably would have been hokey in a movie so I understand.

The previews look like it has really nothing in common with the book expect for maybe the lightning storm. I don't mind as it still looks good. Have you read the prequel book?

I saw this on Friday. It was good, but I thought the first one was better. They are completely different. Fed right into the 3rd one though. I did enjoy it though, but I pretty much like every movie. :)

I have read all of them. I think they are a pretty solid series. It's funny because while I was reading the first one I said; I hope they never make this into a movie because it will never be as cool as it should be.

So in that sense, the movies aren't as bad as I expected them to be, the solved a lot of the problems I foresaw by just flat out changing the story, which I'm ok with. They are getting us where we need to go just down different roads.

I feel almost exactly the same about this one as I did the first one after seeing them both; They got the action of the books but none of the heart. Which is a shame. They pretty much turned the scorch trial story into a typical zombie movie at times.

6/10

I didn't read the first book(as I already watched the movie) and right in the beginning of the second book, I knew the first book wasn't followed by the book. Teresa and the main character(can't think of his name right now) could talk to each other telepathically. The movie never portrayed that.
