McAlester High School boys golf continued its season in Shawnee, winning in the Tecumseh Tournament at Firelake Golf Course Thursday.
The Buffaloes posted their second best total team score of the season at 285 and beat out 29 teams that made up the tournament field.
Seth Gilliam won his third tournament this year. The junior outperformed 115 other players and recorded a 4-under par 70 while senior Zane Owens finished even to place third.
Senior Shawn Perkins shot a 4-over, which was good for seventh place, and freshman Colby Wheat shot 75 to finish 11th. McAlester junior varsity’s Cordon Edwards also had a standout outing, placing fourth overall with a 72.
The Buffaloes will next host and participate in the 5A regional preview at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
