Mike McCarthy's first season as coach of the Dallas Cowboys is all but lost, in large part because star quarterback Dak Prescott's season-ending ankle injury triggered a sequence of four different starters in a span of five weeks. The Cowboys had their best showing since the gruesome scene of Prescott's broken right ankle in Week 5 against the New York Giants, a game they rallied to win when Andy Dalton led a pair of drives to field goals in the fourth quarter.
