Being a dad is Masters champion Bubba Watson’s “biggest win.”

The professional golfer and his wifeAngie Watson are parents to two kids, son Caleb and daughter Dakota. Bubba swung into fatherhood with the adoption of his son Caleb weeks before winning his first Masters in 2012. He and Angie then expanded their family in 2014, adopting their second child, Dakota.

Bubba described adoption to Focus on the Family in 2016 as “a beautiful thing, especially for [those of] us who couldn’t have kids.” Although it took multiple attempts before the couple were able to adopt Caleb, Bubba and Angie have since shared their gratitude for their kids.

"Looking back at it, we know that God had these two perfect children picked out for our family and it all worked out. But seeing that, at the end of what you're going through, is sometimes hard to see," Angie said in 2019, per Fox Sports. "It's the toughest thing we went through as a couple but it's been the greatest thing we've ever been through."

While Bubba is a Masters champion, he’s declared adoption as being the best part of his life, and the title “Father” as “the best title” he could ever be given. In 2016, the LIV Golf League player told Focus on the Family, “I’ve always said my trophies will rot away. God gave me golf so we could try to change two beautiful kids’ lives.”

Here is everything to know about Bubba Watson’s son and daughter.

Bubba and Angie welcomed their son Caleb via adoption in 2012.

Two weeks after adopting Caleb, Bubba went on to win his first Masters and Angie watched from home with their new baby boy. “All my interviews after the first [Masters victory] were talking about him,” Bubba told Focus on the Family in 2016.

A few years prior, he also revealed that he wrapped Caleb in his first Masters green jacket. “That was the only thing I did with it,” he said at a news conference. “I didn’t do any of my funny antics that I normally would do. So, the only thing I did was wrap Caleb up in it.”

While Caleb wasn’t present for his dad’s first Masters win, he attended the tournament in 2013 and was there for Bubba’s second victory in 2014. “To win the second with him there and him able to walk on the green, it was very special for our family,” Bubba later recalled to Focus on the Family.

After winning his second green jacket, Bubba spoke to CBS Mornings about wanting to be a role model for his son. “My whole goal is to be the leader of my family and be the role model for my son ... the guy he looks up to and tries to emulate or be better than,” he shared.

Caleb has also taken after his father. In 2021, Bubba shared a picture of his son showing off his medal for having the longest drive at The Divot Derby. “Caleb may be like his dad… long drive champ in the Divot Derby skills challenge!! #prouddad,” the golfer captioned the photo.

The father-son duo also bond over other sports. Bubba told Golf in 2025 that his son is “all about sports” and “loves baseball.” Caleb attended his first MLB game in June 2012 when Bubba threw out the first pitch at a New York Mets game.

The golfer has also posted various pictures of himself and his son attending basketball, hockey and college football games.

Bubba and Angie’s family grew with the adoption of their daughter Dakota, who was born in November 2014.

The champion golf player told Focus on the Family in 2016 that around the same time he won his second Masters in April 2014, he and Angie had started the process to adopt their second child.

Later that year, in December, Bubba revealed that Caleb had a baby sister. Alongside a photo of his son hugging Dakota, the dad of two wrote, “Watson Family is now 4 and we are so blessed! Look forward to releasing more information once our adoption is final. Thanks everyone for you thoughts, prayers & continued support!!.”

Dakota’s adoption was finalized the following year. Bubba announced the news in October 2015, writing on X, “It's official our adoption of Dakota is final. She's our girl!! #ProudDad.”

Bubba has enjoyed “daddy-daughter date” nights with his girl at Bubba's Sweet Spot in Pensacola, Fla. as well as at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

In August 2024, the father-daughter duo participated in a golfing event together. Bubba shared a video of his daughter swinging and dancing on a golf course, which he captioned, “Dakota is a vibe!! Loved seeing all the families that attended our Adult-Junior event with the First Tee Gulf Coast this weekend! There is nothing quiet like seeing the next generation learning and loving the game.”

When it comes to the Masters, Dakota joked with Bubba about him needing to win again, so she can join her dad on the green like her brother Caleb got to do in 2014.

In 2025, Bubba told Golf, “My daughter always asks me, ‘I never got to walk on the green when you won, but Caleb has.’ She's like ‘Can you just win it again?’ and so that's our joke every time we show up at the Masters like ‘Hey can you win again’ and so she's trying to get me to win.”

That same year, Dakota joined Bubba on the green as his adorable caddie in the Masters Par 3 contest.
