Alabama women's basketball is gearing up for an NCAA Tournament run and it'll be the final run for senior Sarah Ashlee Barker.

Barker joined the Crimson Tide ahead of the 2022-23 season after two years with Georgia. She returned back to her home state where she won two state titles at the high school level, and will be looking to get the Crimson Tide back to the same arena she won those in, if they can win in the first two rounds of March Madness.

Barker has Alabama in her blood as the daughter of a national championship quarterback and has a brother who played under Nick Saban.

Meet Sarah Ashlee Barker, Alabama women's basketball's senior do-it-all leader:

Barker is a two-time state champion

Barker is a two-time state champion leading Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama, to two Alabama High School Athletic Association basketball state titles in 2018 and 2020. She won the state's Miss Basketball award as a senior in 2020, becoming the first player from her school to win the prestigious award.

Started her college career at Georgia

The former Miss Basketball didn't start her career in her home state, she went to Georgia for the 2020-21 and 21-22 seasons. She wanted to try and carve her on path. It was there where she earned All-SEC freshman honors and started every game of her sophomore campaign. She would transfer back home to Alabama after her sophomore year.

Barker racking up the awards

That All-SEC freshman honor at Georgia was the start of the awards Barker would win. She is a two-time All-SEC First-Team honoree. She has been honored in 2024 and 2025. She earned the 2024 first team honors after scoring 16.8 point per game, jumping her average by 10 points after she averaged 6.9 points per game in her first season in Tuscaloosa.
