HOUSTON — Last week, when the Warriors beat New Orleans in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals, perhaps no one was more pleased than player development coach Chris DeMarco. As the assistant in charge of scouting the Rockets, the win gave DeMarco extra time — five days in all — to prepare for Golden State’s much-anticipated showdown with the Rockets in the conference finals. Not that he hadn’t already started jotting down notes. Now in his third season leading the Houston scouting, DeMarco is well versed on Mike D’Antoni’s isolation-heavy system. “It may look like they run the same stuff over and over, but they’re very smart about getting certain defenders in those actions,” DeMarco said
