met RedForce1 last night. No, really. At a down town event, that we both went to for different reasons.
It was a gas!
It would appear, he, jw7 and I are meeting at Teakwoods for the game AFTER the "whiners" game.
Y'all would be missing out on meeting two very cool folk, jw7 and redforce1 that is, if you didn't show.

LOL, had to do a double-take there DVL. You mean meet up for the Seattle away game? At first it sounded like we were going to Teakwoods after the whiners game which would be at 11:30 pm - and that ain't gonna happen for me.

Skkorp, Teakwoods is in Awhatukee at around 40th/Ray in the Fry's center. Not far from when we watched the game at Payton' place. Last week was my 1st time there and that place is great. Every TV is big-screen, flat HDTV, the food is awesome (they serve breakfast stuff like omelettes all day) and it is completely smoke-free inside.

I have to thank RF1 for that recommendation - I had a great time.

Dude, I am pumping money into your economy at the tune of $11-13 per plate including tax which helps pay your salary. You should tell me to eat more LV oysters!

Cartwright's in Carefree has them at 8$ a dozen on the half shell, flown in fresh daily, only at that price during happy hour and only at the bar. They never advertize it. It's meant for regulars. Just go and ask for them. no limit. My Japanese friend and I used to go there weekly and he'd down three dozen.

Seriously, jw. It's easy to drive to and worth a trip. Call them first to verify times. Number is in the phone book. Many times, they even have Blue Points.

Forget eating dinner there in the winter. Reservation only and you need to call a week ahead.

No typo. It used to be 6$ per dozen, not a half-dozen! Have not been there since October, 2006. I kid you not. Have no idea if they still have it running but they should. Cartwright's is super upscale retaurant/bar in Carefree, owned and run by the same people who run the Tonto Bar and Grill at a semi-hidden, reclusive golf resort along Cave creek in Carefree.

Call them. The worst they can say they don't run that anymore.

Also, the formerly $50 Sunday brunch at the Boulders used to include unlimited Champign and raw oysters. In my former, wealthier life, my wife and I and Japanese buddy used to sniff out and abuse the oyster specials at all the resorts around the Northern foothills.
