A spots writer in the Mesa tribune said. In the next couple of weeks (after the Q singing is complete) the SUNS are talking about trading Marion for a big man. Names mentioned was the New Orleans one and only Jamaal Magloire.

If this takes place the Q signing makes complete sence.

So what are you saying Gweorge?

I'm going to answer for George here. He is saying that Scott Burdow's trade idea involving Jamaal Magloire is not going to happen. It makes almost no sense for New Orleans, and it doesn't even work under the CBA trade restrictions. It doesn't even come close to working. Teams don't trade good, young, all-star centers for high-priced, good , young, former all-star small forwards.

One thing to keep in mind about Magloire is New Orleans has a new coach -- Byron Scott. It's hard to imagine a good young center not being a benefit to any new coach, but Scott likes scorers and he doesn't have a bunch to work with for a mediocre team with lots of departing free agents and cap problems. I think if you could come up with a deal that involved multiple players and multiple teams that (a) reasonably benefitted all parties in a competitive sense and (b) made cap sense, I could see Magloire coming here.

The Hornets should be able to re-sign Robert Traylor. In addition, New Orleans is one of the teams Dampier would like to play for (at least in the region he prefers), and they may be a player for him. Without actually sitting down an analyzing salaries and rosters, I could see a three-way trade between GS, NO and the Suns, with players going every which way.

If this is directed to my BIM post. Allow me to explain since you are new.

BIM...or Brian In Mesa, is famed for his correcting of the spelling of other people's post. So when you correct someone's spelling, it is known as being BIM'd.

It's just a little tradition here for us old timers. Don't worry, it has happened to me many times as well :)
