I think we can read the tea leaves from the free agnet activity and see where the Cards are heading come draft day(s). In the mix at #7 are likely Warmack, Vaccaro, a pass rusher, or Milliner.

Either way, with regards to rest of the draft, we are looking at QB, OL, CB, S, and TE with a wildcard pick of possibly a speed WR like Goodwin.

A sample could be:
1-Warmack
2-Matt Elam/Eric Reid
3-Jamie Collins
4-Brian Schwenke
5-Matt Scott/Sean Renfree
6-Reid Fragel
6-Jake Stoneburner

had to throw a couple OSU guys in there at the end :).

If I was drafting, my draft would look something like:
1- Jarvis Jones-OLB
2- Barret Jones-OL
3- EJManuel/Tyler Wilson-QB
4- Shamarko Thomas-S
5- Denard Robinson-wildcard pick
6- Fragel-OT
6- Stoneburner-TE

I really like the idea of adding Jaime Collins and Shamarko Thomas. I think they will be very good players.

I like your draft....I had Manuel and Jones and Stoneburner on mine.....would probably like to see an ILB instead of Dee-nard.

I was going to put Sims on mine also. I like it except I don't think Fluker will be around at that point and I don't think the Cards are going take a RB since they now have 4 already on the roster. But you never know. It's not like any of the current RB's are a sure thing.

If we believe what Keim says about being true to a BPA approach, we'd be well-advised not to fall into the trap of drafting an OL because we need an OL or a QB because we need a QB.

More likely, we'll pick off the top guys on our (BPA weighted for need/system-fit) draft board, draft the highest rated one available and assume that he'll coincidentally fit a position need - whether it be OL, QB or pass rusher.

(Or Steve K could merely say: "I lied." and draft the highest rated available OL).

four rbs?

Isnt it only Williams and Mendenhall? I am not counting Powell or Smith

Given the injury history of Williams and Mendenhall, and that Mendenhall is on a one year deal -- I think drafting a RB at some point in rounds 4-6 is a requirement

But the OL may be so good that they may be BPA. It is still based on what that player is compared to others at different position, there is leeway in BPA. Warmack may be the best player in the draft but it's possible he goes #20 or so because people will feel other positions have more weight.

What I mean is there might be 10 OL that are as good as the top 3 at a few other positions. This is a really good OL, so I may want the #4 guard or #5 tackle over the #2 RB or #2 Safety.

I would draft a RB but I don't think they will. I've been touting Gillislee for awhile and would love to see them pick him up in round 4-5.

BNA - Best need available. Dont limit to OL only. Take every position of need and BPA those positions. Obviously if the BPA is a WR, we should pass.

BPA after the line and QB are set. Unless position is already fully stocked.
