Latest rumor:

According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have decided to take Alex Smith at number 2. The Bucs are negotiating with the Dolphins about swapping picks with them. They also want Smith. The 49ers seem to be settling on Rodgers. If they're right, then Ronnie Brown drops to 4 or 5 regardless of whether the Bucs - Dolphins trade occurs.

So the first five picks may turn out to be:

Aaron Rodgers
Alex Smith
Braylon Edwards
Mike Williams
Ronnie Brown

Why would the Bucs be interested in Smith if they are already grooming Chris Simms for the QB job?

(or are they giving up on Simms?)

They appear to be giving up on Simms.

They actually may have Cadillac rated higher for some reason. If that happens we take Brown. No brainer. Brown can play the Marshall Faulk role catching out of the backfield and playing wideout also.

Actually, Cadillac is the "Marshal Faulk Type" RB of the two.
