Michigan State basketball received a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday -- but where did they rank compared to the other No. 2 seeds? We now know where the Spartans stacked up with the rest of the field.

The official 1-68 seed list was released late on Sunday evening, with the Spartans coming as the No. 7 team in the country, according to the selection committee. That puts them as the third-highest of the No. 2 seeds behind Tennessee and Alabama, and ahead of St. John's.

Michigan State landed in the South Region and will open the NCAA Tournament on Friday night against No. 15 seed Bryant. The Bulldogs were seeded as the No. 62 -- which was the lowest ranking of the four No. 15 seeds in the field of 68.

Tip off between Michigan State and Bryant is scheduled for approximately 10 p.m. ET on Friday. The game will be televised on TBS.
