Michigan State has spent the past few weeks really expanding their recruiting board while preparing for the monstrous month of June that will be looming with official visits. The latest prospect the Spartans have gotten into the mix with is from the Lone Star state.

Ashton Rowden, a native of New Boston (TX), is a four star prospect at the running back position, according to On3. At 6-foot, 195 pounds, the prospect has the build to be a solid running back option.

On Wednesday, Michigan State running backs coach Keith Bhonapha extended an offer to Rowden, and the two sides took no time in scheduling an official visit, according to a report from 247Sports' Corey Robinson.

Rowden will be visiting East Lansing on June 20-22, rounding out the month of visits. The running back also has visits scheduled with Kansas State and Texas Tech that month.
