Phil Mickelson has filed a lawsuit against an Internet service provider in Canada to learn the identity of a person who has been posting "vexatious statements" that the four-time major champion says is a deliberate attack on his reputation. In his lawsuit against Videotron S.E.N.C in Quebec Superior Court, Mickelson cited comments posted on Yahoo!

These rumors have been floating around for years. I guess they just found a new life. One rumor claims he fathered a love child in Ohio and was the reason he did not play in Nicklaus tournament, for so many years, because of fear of a paternity suit. The other one was that his wife had a fling with Michael Jordan IIRC.

The story I like, concerning Mickelson, was his picking up the tab for Conrad Dobler's daughter's college education when Conrad fell on very hard times.
