Miguel Cabrera is standing by Robinson Cano. The Tigers slugger went off when asked about the Mariners second baseman’s suspension for violating MLB’s drug prevention and treatment program, resulting in an 80-game suspension. “He [plays] every day,” Cabrera told The Detroit Free Press. “He [does] everything right. Now everybody is going to write all this stupid [sh–]. I know Cano for a lot of years and I know he didn’t cheat. I’m [f—ing] mad right now.” Cano tested positive for Furosemide, which can be used as a masking agent for performance-enhancing drugs. It is on the league’s banned substance list.
