M. Bidwill was on the Opening Drive this morning with DD and Dale H. He said the Cardinals were putting together some travel packages for fans to go to the game in Mexico.

You have Sirius 40yearfan?

No I don't. I do have an XM radio that came with my Buick when I got it and am hooked-up to that.

Among other things he spoke of the possible deals for Edge and Alexander. Said the people have to realize that most of the cap has been committed, saving some for IR and the rookie pool. Also alluded that this is a very deep calss of running backs and that a potential game breaker (i.e. Julious Jones last year) might be available in rounds two or three.

I have a feeling that we are done with FA, and will be drafting CB in round 1 and RB in round 2.

The dreams of Edge in Cardinal Red seedm to be fading by the minute.

What I got from it was we have money budgeted for Boldin, IR, and Rookie cap but we still have enough for a few more mid tier or role players, and money for if any interesting gets cut from now to the draft. Just dont be looking for anymore Okeafers, Ross, or Warners.

Buying an XM was my only non-AZ Cardinal decision.

Although the Sirius option gives you all NFL games and an NFL News station, I get that on DirecTV anyway with Sunday Ticket and NFL Network.

I figured that, if I got XM, I could hear all StL Cardinal baseball games (with Mike Shannon & friends doing the audio) and would get to hear 162 games plus preseason instead of 16 NFL games plus preseason.

But I have to admit to being a "traitor" by going with XM instead of Sirius.

We need a PR/KR for special teams. A real burner. I do believe that that was the worst part of our special teams play last season.

If our roster on the top of this site is correct which I think is really close, we should have about 5-6 million left. Are we keeping that for IR personal?? I could see 1-2 but not 5-6 million.

Boldins new contract when it ever gets done is going to need about 5 mill.

No, I think it's like Joeshmo says. More mid tier FA's if somebody pops up that the brain trust likes.

Yeah, guys in the mold of the special teams demons, guys like Gleason, or the FB from the Ravens that was released, Morrow I think. Plus dont rule out Hill either, I still believe his contract offer is part of the budget Graves speaks of..

You're not talking per year, are you. Fitzgerald only has a $3M per year cap hit right now.

I would think Anquan would take similar money. Much better than the $600K he is currently making.

If the rumor of the last Cards offer is true Boldin would be getting a 5 mill roster for the next 3 years to go along with what he is already making in base salary. So yeah 5 mill is a safe estimate.

But I guess he wants guaranteed money, right?

We defintitely have more holes to fill:
TE
RB
CB(3)
O-line depth
PR/KR
#4 WR

Possible:
DT
ST help

There had better be some waiver wire watching or one-year veteran minimum deals in the futre to fill some of these holes. Going into the draft with this many definicies would be way too Mac-like for my liking.

He wants signing bonus, all up front, we want to give him roster bonus to make sure we arent paying for a bum knee 2 years later.

Eventually, I think they will come to some sort of split the difference type of agreement on this.

3 CBs?

Only 2 need two, one starter and a nickel, we have to 2 guys in NFLE and Rhett Nelson who should be able to fill the dime and #5 CB spots.

Perhaps releasing/trading Clement and Raynoch might create some more cap room.
