Just proved to me that Brown needs to stay on the right side.

I agree, he looked like he was expecting the ball to be out of Warner's hands by the time his man got to Kurt. Shows that he needs to finish plays and never give up. He will be a monster, just needs to get used to this level of play. He looked great earlier in the year, He chose a bad time to take a play off.

Outside of that one rush Brown was playing pretty well.

I'll give him a pass being its his first game speed action in a month and is playing a completley different side then hes been playing all year.

I don't understand why Brown got no help on that sack by Carter.

BTW, Brown played LT in college. That's really not out of position for him.

Yes. And the player who beat him on that play is a very good player.

dogpoo, which NFL team do you support? Just curious. It seems to me the only times you show up on this board is to bash a player, the team, the FO or to make insulting comments about how ASFN is moderated.

I could do a search of your posts to figure you out better but I'm too lazy. Tell us yourself, please. You sure do seem to relish our failures a whole lot.

I don't even believe he got beat. He just stopped blocking Carter too soon.

He handled himeslf pretty well in my opinion.

Holy crap dude! When have I spoken out about how ASFN is moderated? I support the Cards. You are WAY more sour on things than I am. I bash players when they deserve it. I am not making a living playing football. They are. I cheer when they win, I cheer when they lose. I question players who seem to not be giving it their all. I do not only post to bash. It would probably be 50/50. I support this team with every ounce of my being, and to have you call me out is a friggin insult. I hope you got the wrong person, because you cannot be talking about me. I don't relish in failure, but I do have a problem with people not doing their job, playing with heart, or accepting a loss. Research it please.

dogpoo, my apologies. We all handle hard losses differently. Me included. Sorry for lashing out.

No worries man. I get really heated after losses, and it is my tendancy to find someone to blame. I will admit to blaming players, coaches, organizational heads and such. I will die a Cardinals fan, so it is tough to accept being called anything else. I do take on a negative mindset, but it comes from wanting to see the team destroy everyone in their path. I know I post mostly on gameday, but that's when I am most excited. We have the playoffs in our sights this year. No excuses, lets go win!

WHAT?!? how can you type those two sentences back to back???

he stopped playing too soon . . . in other words, he didn't finish his block. and he handled himself pretty well? he stopped playing and likely cost us the game (yes, many other things could have happened differently also, i realize this, but if he had continued to block and the turnover didn't happen the outcome may have been very, very different). "handled himself pretty well" . . . i'd hate to see what happens when he doesn't.

Don't get your panties in a bunch clown. I should have clarified. He quit on one play and no excuse for that at all. Other than that I thought he did handle himself pretty well.

Looked to me like he thought the ball would be out sooner but he is young and will learn.

You can laugh for sure. Need to clarify as it certainly doesn't read as intended. I really was being critical of him on that one play and did not want to give Carter too much credit as Levi quit blocking him too soon.

Other than that one play I thought he did fine.

i'm really not freaking out on you, sorry if it seemed that way. but your commentary leads me to beleive that you isolate this one play. i think it HAS to be taken into consideration when you say he handled himself pretty well. it happened. it's part of his play for the day. and it SUCKED.

as for being young . . . i played in pop warner, high school, and college. i remember hearing from every coach along the way "play until you hear the whistle." so even if he thought the ball would be out sooner (a terrible assumption on his part), wasn't it just lazy to quit early? what other excuse can there be?

sorry if this seems like a diatribe. i just can't stand errors that are due to being lazy. these are pros getting paid huge money. play the full 15 seconds of each damn play.

And as I said their is no excuse for it. Some were saying Carter is good and this will happen but Levi let him go and watched the carnage.

I will say it would be nice for Warner to take a sack for once and the ball not pop out like it was a greased pig.

good god i cannot agree with your last comment more.

anyone else wanted to pop levi's head as he jogged over to the wreckage that was kurt warner, shaking his head b/c he knew he screwed up?

Gandy suffered a calf injury.

Brown (who hasn't played for at least three weeks) hadn't played LT in the pros and was caught a bit by surprise when thrown into action at the position. Carter got him (and KW) good.

Could Russ G prepared Levi better for that possibility? Probably - if you can predict the future. But hindsight is 20-20, and I'm not ready to cruficy someone who arguably is one of the best offensive line coaches in football.

I thought going into this year we were probably an 8/8 team if all went well. Things have not gone well. We have had to many injuries. As long as we are moving forward I can live with it. I like our coaching staff and we will continue to have ups and downs. We have now lost 3-4 games by 3 or less points. At some point we will get over the hump. We can criticize various people in any game and be right in doing so but IMHO we were an 8/8 team going in and will be lucky to reach that as things stand now. A one armed QB is tough to overcome although the guy gives a gutsy performance.
