Mike Gosling pitches well in his first start

Gosling went 5.2 innings, striking out 6 and giving up only 2 runs. I think he has a shot at making the team next year. He is getting stronger as the season goes on. He is coming off surgery last year and hopefully he will pan out as the pitcher the Diamondabcks hoped he would a few years back.

Excellent news.

Here was a guy who was highly touted out of college, started off well in the minors, had surgury, and hasn't been the same. If he can regain his form then we will have a solid lefty in the rotation.
