Mike & Mike along with Stink all have the Cardinals as the WORST team BY FAR in the playoffs. They have absolutely NO chance Saturday night. They evaluated each team in different categories & we were dead last in almost every category. Even Warner was only the 6th best & Whisenhunt was 8th on their list. God I hope our guys listen or watch this drivel. Even if we don't win Saturday, we should be mad enough to put 5 Panthers on IR. Better yet, put them in the ER!! It would be priceless if the Cardinals shocked the world.

The odds are just so damn slim. The traveling on the road will loam 10 times larger than it did during the season. I am all excited but it truth there is maybe a 5% chance we win this game.

I disagree. If we were playing the Giants I would be on board with you about the 5% but I have put this game at 40% for a couple reasons. We match up well with them being the first and foremost and also the fact that we played them tough in the first game giving us confidence that we can win there.

This is a team that was 7-9 last year with a very poor home record. I think their QB is their weak link and can be pressured into making big mistakes. I also think that them winning during the RS is to our advantage because they will prepare lighter and might even be looking ahead.

Good. I want as much negative pub as possible. I hope the team plays like thier hair is on fire.

I'm not surprised at the experts' picks, and as a Cardinal fan, not offended. The Cardinals have been inconsistent, poor on the road, and seem to lack the ability to self-motivate. In the prediction game, these factors loom large. That said, unpredictability can be the Cards' friend, as they tend to win with big plays on both sides of the ball. If it's a game that largely happens between the 40s, we lose. But a great catch by Fitz and an int return by Rolle can get you a few touchdowns pretty quick...they can definitely win this game.

It's 50/50... as it has been since the dawn of competitive sport. ;)

Didn't they both at one point admit they wouldn't be surprised at all if we won though?

I thought I heard that when I was eating my cereal this morning.

They are two of the biggest idiots in sports broadcasting. Wow. Color me shocked.

Keep piling on, media. It may be the only thing that can motivate this team.

Why are we shocked by this? People said we were the worst playoff team ever to make the playoffs, so why do people seem to think that will change this round? Guess what, if we win this week we will probably be called the worst team ever to make the NFC Championship game. Why continue to get worked up by this? Let's just sit back and enjoy where we are, a 2nd round playoff game in primetime on Saturday. This is a great time to be a Cardinal fan.

That strikes me as a little bit insane. If the players are all that terrible, wouldn't you have to give the coaching staff a little bit of credit for getting them into the 2nd round of the playoffs? If the players are all godawful, then Whisenhunt is a genius. If Whisenhunt is a moron, then the players must be pretty good.

Honestly, I think you can make an argument for Warner being 6th among the remaining QBs, though. Flacco's got great potential and played well, but I don't see anybody but a huge homer rating him above Warner right now. Same with Kerry Collins. Among graybeard QBs who have had significant problems with fumbling, Warner's clearly top of the heap.

After those two it gets a little dicey. Eli? I'd say no, because he's only been statistically good for one regular season and one playoff run. But hey, he's a Super Bowl champ, and he's played well overall this year, and a lot of people would rank him much higher than Warner without thinking twice. Rivers? Had a fantastic year, is in his prime. Roethlisberger? Won a Super Bowl, and has the ability to make big plays. McNabb? Long resume, has been playing quite well. Delhomme? Not great, but he's played very well in key situations this year and helped them win a couple games they desperately needed.

I definitely wouldn't rank all of those guys above Warner, but I can see how somebody might make an argument for them. I think I'd put him 3rd, after Rivers and McNabb, but what the hell.

To me when I listen to any media person talking about my teams, I only really care about facts, such as if Q is going to play or not. Everything else like who is going to win and who has the better QB is opinion and is fun to listen to since at this point of the year it means we are still in it. Who cares what they say, they get paid money to entertain and inform you not to win the game for you. Do you think the Panthers coaching staff listens and says, "Warner is only the 6th best QB in the playoff? I guess that mean this will be a cakewalk."

Let's just hope the players are paying attention when they have a chance to this garbage.

They should be seething about right now and that's good IMO.

No offense to the thread starter but these guys aren't really piling on, which to me means to kick a team that's down. These fools may act like they are piling on and treating us like were are always down, but it just shows what dishonest nitwits they are. There isn't any point were these types are going to cut square corners with us. We disproved just about every one of these fools last week, yet I've not heard a one of them come clean with how clueless they were. They just move on with a lot of hysterical terms like "blow out" "no chance" etc. Its just the sorry standard operating procedure of this business. Like cheap carpetbagging politicians, no accountability and just grandiose, wind-bag type prediction on anything under the sun. That's all this business is all about. Its embarrassing and pathetic.

No biggie. It's everywhere.

Here's a tidbit from CNNSI

Taking a page out of Barack Obama's playbook, Warner has promised his daughters puppies if he ends up winning the Super Bowl. "My wife [Brenda] kind of put words in my mouth and told them if we won the Super Bowl, they could get a puppy," he said. "I want to win the Super Bowl, but I still don't want to get a puppy." Don't worry Kurt, you won't have to worry about getting puppies when you're sitting at home watching the Super Bowl this year.

Sweet!! How many of these geniuses actually suffer consequences for being so wrong so often? They are like a broken clock. 'Cept they are right about 50% of the time. The only thing they can predict is a Detriot Lions game. ;)

the incredible thing is that 6 of 8 have played in superbowls!

winners:
warner
eli
rothlisberger

losers:
delhomme
mcnabb
collins (w/ giants)

that's interesting.
